At a time when the BJP legislator from Haridwar city seat, Madan Kaushik prayed at Har Ki Pauri on Tuesday a day after his re-nomination was confirmed, the members of Krantikari Sangharsh Morcha, who are purported to be BJP volunteers close to the Haridwar MP Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, raised a flag of rebellion against him.
Observers believe that these activists might spite his poll prospects unless they are reined in in time.
Vinod Mishra of Krantikari Sangharsh Morcha said they would under no circumstances support Kaushik. He did not rule out the possibility of their voting en bloc for a candidate from among the non-BJP parties if he is honest and development-minded.
However, a close aide of Madan Kaushik Vikas Tiwari said that the differences within the party ranks
would soon be sorted out
amicably.
Sounding confident of victory, Kaushik said, “Very soon more Congress workers would switch allegiance to the BJP from Congress. Congress is a sinking ship.”
