The Vikas Bhawan Pauri has been awarded International Standard Organisation (ISO) 9001-2008 certification for demonstrating the motto of promoting improvement for better service deliveries at Vikas Bhawan in district headquarters Pauri.
Implementation of ISO standards will help the officers at Vikas Bhawan to identify the areas where things can be improved. It would also help in bringing transparency in the operation of Government machinery, it is hoped.
It is claimed that Vikas Bhawan has got the ISO certification due to the persistent efforts of some of the officials, particularly the CDO. Pauri Vikas Bhawan is the first in Uttarakhand to be awarded the ISO certification in the Government sector.
Taking to the media persons, chief development officer Sonika expressed his happiness over the accomplishment and said it is a matter of pride for all of them.
She further stressed that implementation of ISO standard will enable the process owners and department heads to identify areas where improvement can be made.
There are 19 departments functioning under the CDO in Vikas Bhawan. The biometric system has been started in Vikas Bhawan for officers and staffers of all the departments operating in the premises of Vikas Bhawan.
