The Vice Chancellor (V-C) of Uttarakhand Open University Nageshwar Rao would discharge additional duty VC of Kumaon University till selection of new incumbent for the post.
The Uttarakhand Government had appointed the VC of Kumaon University H S Dhammi as VC of Uttarakhand residential University on October 03 following which he had requested the governor to relieve him of the charge of Kumaon University.
On Monday the Governor of the Uttarakhand Dr K K Paul relieved Dhami from the charge of VC of Kumaon University and handed it over to Professor Nageshwar Rao who would discharge the additional duty till appointment of a regular VC of Kumaon University.
The process of selection of new VC of Kumaon University is currently underway.
