Crimes mounting across the State, Uttarakhand police in a first of such initiatives have developed Uttarakhand Police Mobile App to facilitate the persons who are having Android mobile phones to register reports regarding any problem they would encounter. Alert police will act swiftly and their concerns will be addressed promptly, it is assured. Citizens can report the following issues on the App- crimes, intimation of the tenants and domestic helps/employees’ verification, alertness of police, lost-found reports and wanted criminal and state of traffic. This app will act as an umbrella for the Uttarakhand police services.
A senior police officer said that after the successful trial of the app over the past one year which was developed by the WT IT Solutions (P) ltd, the app will be officially launched by the Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat in the presence of home minister Pritam Singh, DGP BS Sidhu, ADGP (law and order) Anil Kumar Raturi, IG Garhwal Range Sanjay Kumar Gunjiyal and SSP Dr Sadanand Shankar Rao Date in a programme at police line on Saturday.
In step with today’s online world, Uttarakhand Police Mobile App is a step forward to bridge the gap between police force and citizens to check crimes and improve the overall state of traffic as well as to ease the stress of day- to- day commuting at various crossings in districts-Dehradun and Haridwar, Dat e said. According to police, the app can be used to provide the police detailed information on the incidents of crime and the like. One can download Uttarakhand Police Mobile APP by clicking a feature play store on android cell phone. Six features have been given on Mobile APP as tenant intimation, domestic help/employee intimation, crime reporting, alert police, lost-found report and wanted criminal.
