UTEA discontent over proposed cut in number of posts in horticulture dept

Published on:

The Uttarakhand Technical Employees Association has expressed its deep resentment on the proposed cut in the number of posts in the State horticulture department.

A meeting of the association which was presided over by the prominent employee leader Arun Pandey was held  here on Friday.

The general secretary of the association, Deepak Purohit said that department of finance has decided to downscale the proposal of restructuring of the horticulture wing  by the department of personnel.

Purohit said that the proposed down-scaling is unfortunate since both the Chief Minister and Horticulture minister have time and again appreciated the department and termed it as backbone of economic progress of the State.

In the meeting it was unanimously decided that a state wide agitation would be initiated if the government decided to restructure the department without taking the association into confidence.
