Those working for the past many years as daily wagers in the Uttarakhand Seeds and Tarai Development Corporation limited (USTDCl) will soon be regularised. The corporation managing director Dr PS Bisht said this while talking to The Pioneer.
Bisht informed that the corporation management has completed the process of regularisation of the daily wage workers and they will soon receive their regularisation letters. Three of them will be appointed on the posts concerned being vacated but this will not take long. On the recommendation of the board of directors, some relaxation will be facilitated in the educational qualification required for some appointments.
Bisht further informed that recently inspected all of the corporation’s seed plants at Bajpur, Kashipur, Khatima, Haridwar, Haldi, Nagla and Matkota and had issued instructions for strengthening and modernisation of these plants. The expenses of the corporation will be cut down and sources of income strengthened as per the directions of principal secretary, Agriculture, Dr Ranvir Singh.
These measures are aimed at strengthening the position of the corporation. “I will try to cultivate a working culture at the USTDCl which enables the officers and employees to work without pressure and work hard to fulfill their responsibilities efficiently,” said Bisht.
