BJP national secretary Trivendra Singh Rawat has demanded that Chief Minister Harish Rawat, who used to say that their fight is with BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi during the general elections, should release white paper on the use of disaster funds. Harish Rawat was also known as Harda and Harida but now he would be known as Haarda (defeated) because BJP won all five lok Sabha seats of the State during his tenure.
Trivendra Singh Rawat, who was in-charge of Uttar Pradesh and working under the guidance of BJP national general secretary Amit Shah during general elections, said that people have given a message to the political party to stop adopting Muslim appeasement policy and work for the upliftment of the society otherwise you will be sidelined like what they did to the Congress in the recently concluded general elections.
By defeating Congress in all five lok Sabha seats of the State, people have given a clear message to the Harish Rawat led State Government that they have lost the moral right to continue as Chief Minister of the State so should resign from the post with immediate effect.
He further said that there is a media report that CM Rawat is not ready to contest election from Doiwala Assembly seat, which will be vacated by the ex CM Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, and planning to contest elections from Dharchula seat. Despite being the sitting MP of Haridwar lok Sabha seat CM Rawat is not confident of his victory from Doiwala assembly seat which shows that the CM's political ground is depleting because during his tenure he was busy seeking time for Bhajan Kirtan (devotional songs) at Har-ki-Pauri against Congress led State Government. Due to this the people of Haridwar have voted against his wife Renuka Rawat, who lost to BJP candidate Dr Nishank from Haridwar parliamentary constituency.
He further said that State Government has swindled the disaster funds which was allotted by the Union Government for the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure in disaster affected areas. He demanded that there is a need for independent investigation to find out the veracity about the use of the fund. He questioned that during elections CM Rawat claimed that their Government has issued thousands of Government orders in one month so how many Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) have been approved by the State so far.
As far State Government’s stability is concerned then it is hollow because they have given the cabinet ministers’ post to 38 MlAs out of the 70 member Vidhan Sabha. It shows that State Government is striving hard to save itself.
