Jaguri said that they had submitted several memorandums to the state government to no avail. large numbers of UPNl employees are working in various departments for over five years withot their jobs being regularised.
Moreover, government officers exploiting them, they were being thrown out of their jobs despite them working in the same department for around five or six years, he said. “Side by side with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel, we work day and night when disaster occurs and now, we are being shown the door. We demand to be given status of regular workers in the departments we are working in,” said Jaguri.
