Chief Minister Harish Rawat, who has been contesting bypoll from Dharchula Assembly seat, has categorically said that due to health reason he could not visit his Assembly constituency so this election result would be outcome of my 40-years long political journey. He also expressed hope that the voters would strengthen the State Government by giving all three mandate to Congress led State Government on July 21.

Talking to the media person CM Rawat said that due to health reasons he could not visit to the Dharchula Assembly constituency but expressed hope people would bless me. This would be acid test for me because it would be result of my 40 years long political career. He expressed hope that people have seen my efficiency as Chief Minsiter of the State during few days of my work because after that State is facing model code of conduct due to multiple elections.

He further said that State voters are very smart and they know what would be the better for their future. During general election-2014 they formed a stable Government at the Centre and now they would give stability to the Congress led State Government. As we know that currently Congress is having 32 out of 70 member Uttarakhand Assembly, if they bless Congress candidates in all three Assembly by-poll including Dharchula, Someshwar and Doiwala then Congress strength would be 35 out of 70. With this the State Government would be more strengthen and people would reap its benefit in near future.
