Unwarranted visits to Edu Dept by teachers, other staff to be discouraged

The teachers and other employees of the education department who are in the habit of visiting the directorate or the secretariat just to develop liaisons with top officers and politicians need to take care as the department has toughened its stand on them.

Taking a strong exception of the fact that many teachers, employees and heads of the schools are found roaming in the education directorate or secretariat without any ostensible reason, the Director General (DG) Ranjana has asked them to refrain from this activity.

In a letter directed to all officers of education department the DG said that the teachers and other employees should not visit these offices unnecessarily and if they wish they should have valid reason and have permission from competent authorities. The DG has clearly said that stern disciplinary action would be initiated against those not following the order.
