light showers and clouds marked the weather conditions in the region on Sunday. The temperature dropped in both hilly and terai areas of the State providing much-needed relief to the citizens from the the scorching heat. Though people have welcomed the sudden change in the weather as it helped bring down the soaring temperature, it was not a welcome development for the farmers across the region as the unseasonal rainy conditions have already caused huge damage to their crops this year so far.
This is a crucial time for the farmers. On one hand, they are busy in reaping their harvests and on the other hand, they have to dispose off their produce. More so, as the wheat procurement season is on, so increasing level of humidity in the atmosphere as caused by the prevailing rainy conditions is not good, as the experts here maintained.
