The Doon School will hold its own University and College Fair on October 28. It will begin at 10.15am. For many years, the school has hosted many distinguished universities from India and around the world as well as US, UK and Canadian Fairs.
This year, the school has made its own selection of universities and colleges, which include first class higher education establishments from India, UK, Hong Kong, Canada, USA and Australia.
Titled — “Invest in Your Future”, the expo is designed to include a dynamic programme of speakers who will discuss a range of highly relevant topics relating to the Higher Education scenario in India and globally.
Day and boarding schools from across the region such as Welham Boys, as well as parents from The Doon School will attend and listen to experts talking about liberal Arts Education in India, An Overview of Education in the United Kingdom and how to make a successful application to universities in Canada.
Other topics include — the road ahead, career options, how do colleges evaluate an application — with focus on the US review process, the importance of co-curricular activities, personal statements/essays and supplemental applications, writing the Statement of Purpose (SOP) for UK, Hospitality.
