Welcoming the President’s Rule, dissident MlAs said that the President has saved the people of Uttarakhand from the clutches of a dictator, meaning Harish Rawat. They expressed the hope that the coming days would change for the better as far as the interests of the common people are concerned.
Talking to The Pioneer, Shailarani Rawat, the rebel MlA from Kedarnath said that what had happened was inevitable. “He had been running a one-man show, treating the MlAs like dirt. He pretended to be concerned about Kedarnath, but he could have cared less as far as the electorate of Kedarnath Assembly is concerned. Now, they have got justice,” she said.
