Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (Panwar) leaders have stressed that national political parties with their high commands in New Delhi cannot facilitate the desired level of development in Uttarakhand.
This view was expressed at the conclusion of a three-day protest fast by party workers in support of various demands including the declaration of Gairsain as the permanent State capital.
Five party workers had started the protest on November 7 in support of the demand for release of a white paper on the financial records of disaster relief works, making of the Tripathi commission report public, making of effective plans for stopping migration from mountainous areas, 80 per cent reservation in all jobs for Uttarakhand natives, security from wildlife, provision of pension and horizontal reservation in government jobs for Statehood activists and other demands.
Speaking on the occasion, the protesting party members blamed the successive State Governments headed by the BJP and Congress for the failure in achieving the desired level of development in Uttarakhand since State formation.
Since national political parties are controlled by the head command in New Delhi so they cannot be expected to work sincerely for resolving regional issues. A regional party is the best option for achieving the desired level of progress in Uttarakhand, said that party leaders. The faction’s head Trivendra Singh Panwar, latafat Hussain, Manmohan lakhera and others were present on the occasion.
