The Udham Singh Nagar district magistrate chaired a meeting with officials concerned regarding the problems being faced in the expansion of the Pantnagar airport.
The Pantnagar airport director N Subramanyam presented the map related to the planned expansion of the airport in addition to informing the DM AK Srivastav about the varied problems being faced in execution of the plan for expansion of Pantnagar airport.
The DM directed that officials of the Pantnagar airport, revenue department, forest department, Pantnagar university and TDC will conduct a joint survey of the land which will fall under the purview of the airport expansion work.
He told the airport director that after the joint survey is conducted, he should present the required land plan. The DM further directed the officials concerned to ensure the dimensions of land belonging to the forest department, Pantnagar university and TDC which will be affected by the airport expansion.
Officials were also asked to present an estimate of the expenditure expected to be incurred for relocating residential colonies, axing trees and similar tasks in the area in question.
