Two persons were caught with demonitised currency amounting to Rs 2.5 crore by the Kashipur police. According to the police, based on a tip off provided by an informant, the Kashipur police raided a property business office.
The police nabbed Kunwar Singh Bisht and Brijesh Dimri with the demonetised currency from Bisht’s property business office on IIM Road, Kundeshwari in Kashipur.
The cache comprised demonetised Rs 1000 and Rs 500 currency notes. The police also seized one car from the scene. Two persons were able to give the police the slip.
