Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam limited (UJVNl) observed ‘United Nations World Day of Remembrance for Road Victims’ in conjunction with Uttarakhand Productivity Council on Saturday.
The principal function was held at Yamuna Colony in Dehradun. Two-minute silence was observed in the memory of those who have been so far killed across the world in road mishaps. Candles were also lit on the occasion. Those present took pledge to observe the traffic norms in full to stave off accidents. Rousing awareness among the common people on the traffic norms was also stressed on the occasion.
The project Director, planning, UJVNl, Sandeep Singhal, Director, HRD, S K Chopra and Executive Director (Civil) BCK Mishra other senior officials aside from the employees were present.
