The level of mismanagement in the education department came to the fore once again when two teachers were given transfer orders to work at a Government school in Joshimath block which was already destroyed in the June 2013 disaster.On the other hand, there are at least two Government schools in the area where four teachers have been posted to teach eight students.
According to information received under Right To Information Act, the two teachers were given postings at the Government primary and junior high school at Bhyundar in Joshimath whose building was destroyed in the 2013 disaster. The students of the school had later taken admission in another school. It has also been learnt that four teachers have been posted to teach eight students in the Government schools at lambagad and Gulabkoti.
