Under the aegis of 40 PAC wing, two-day long police modern school sports tournament was kicked off on Sunday. The inauguration was done by the MP from Haridwar, Ramesh Pokhariyal ‘Nishank’. He also unveiled the foundation stone of renovation of the inter-PAC roads in the campus worth Rs 10 lakh from his MP fund.
Encouraging the participants on the occasion, the MP said that it was a matter of pride for the students of police modern school that they had a chance to showcase their talent on the land of Ganga. He said that he was confident that players would play with sportsman spirit and would resolve to perform better in future competing with their own selves. He said that the students must tread on the road to success facing hardships with courage and take the State to the heights of development.
He asked the officers of the Provincial Armed Constabulary to give an estimated budget for community centre in the premises, adding that the expenses for this shall be borne by the Government.
CO of 40 PAC Roshen lal said, “In the sports tournament, 250 students of Police modern School Dehradun, Rudrapur and Roshanabad were participating. Five sports events including Kho-Kho, football, badminton, athletics race and chess were included.”
The legislator from Ranipur, Adesh Chauhan and other BJP leaders were also present on the occasion.
