It was a special day for twin brothers Ashish and Anish Dahiya of Sonipat district of Haryana. Ashish passed out from the IMA and joined the engineers’ wing of the Indian Army on Saturday while sibling Anish Dahiya got enrolled in the Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai only recently.
The twins fulfilled the dream of their late father Ashok Dhaiya who was Other Rank (OR) in Indian army.
The uncle of twins Jagbir Singh said that both brothers were good in studies. “When my brother died in the year 2000 both brothers were kids. I mentored them thereafter and what fine individuals they have become!” said Jagbir Sigh. A beaming Anish said that he too thought of joining army after Asish was selected for IMA and cleared the entrance examination for OTA this year.
