Youngsters aspiring to join armed forces of the country and some tribal youths would participate in Sainik Yoga in the provisional State capital on the occasion of International Yoga day on June 21.
The event would be held at lord Vainkateshwar Kalyan Mandapan near state secretariat. The organiser of the event, Chandrani Mona Sinha said that the aspirant soldiers and tribals are the segment that is often left out from the Yoga mainstream which is not good as they form the future defence of the nation. “If we teach Yoga to them at an early age, they will serve the nation better and handle the enemy and terrorists in a better way,’’ she said.
The event for Aspirant Soldiers and tribal youth will be inaugurated by the Former Member of Parliament (MP) and senior BJP leader Tarun Vijay would inaugurate the event. He termed tribal people as the most vulnerable segments of the society who are facing the brunt of insurgency and terrorist actions from Chhattisgarh to Northeast. “It is a wonderful idea to blend the 'future-soldiers with patriotic tribal youth so that our national defence is strengthened with yoga inputs. It is not the gun but the 'Mann' - the mind of the man behind the gun that fights and brings success,’’ he said.
Vijay further adds that every posture of a soldier is a yoga posture whether it is holding the arms, zeroing in on the enemy positions, targeting the infiltrators and hoisting Tricolour after attaining victory. He said that that all the above mentioned acts demand highest level of concentration and a winning confidence that Yoga gives them.
