With two roads including the Ghirauli-Khairali Road and the Simliya Band-Sanani Road remaining blocked for long, transportation services continued to remain disrupted even on Monday in some rural and hilly parts of the Nainital district.
Though weather conditions have shown quite improvement nowadays in the region, the aforesaid roads were damaged earlier due to heavy rain leading to disruption in transport services in some rural and hilly areas.
However, out of a total 59 roads connecting different parts of Nainital, as many as 57 roads are presently open for vehicular traffic in the district, informed the officials concerned of the Nainital district administration.
Officials have been directed to repair the said damaged roads as early as possible.
