Increasing problem of traffic congestion in the city delaying in one’s routine almost every day, people say this is turning to be a daily anathema for them.
Many people say traffic snarls during the morning hours put additional stress on them as they leave them late for work. The school kids are also bearing the brunt of things. “The traffic crawling during the afternoon rush hours again when we are on our way back home is a frustrating experience for us. We long to get back home fast to relax. But on most of the days, we reach home late too,” said Ganesh who was found locked in a traffic snarl in a road in Dehradun on Monday. “I am facing difficulties almost daily during the day hours when I go to pick my daughter from the school. We both suffer a great deal as we wait for a long time with the cars remaining stuck bumper to bumper,” said Mahima, a housewife.
A student Jagriti said : “We are facing problems during our coaching hours. We often arrive late for the classes.” Another resident Umesh said he got out for work much earlier. “This helps me to reach office at the right time. But this is a compulsion as I hardly find much time to do many of my household things,” he added.
