People faced a tough time as they could not get even their routine bank related works done following strike of the bank employees here on Monday. More so, with many ATMs running short of cash later in the day, the citizens could be seen trying different ATM outlets for cash.
In the meanwhile, the agitating bankers accused the Government of ignoring their demands. One of the main demands of the bank employees is salary revision. “It is a matter of concern that despite urging the Government time to time to address our concern the Government has done nothing,” alleged the strikers. In case the Government continues to turn a deaf ear to their long pending demands, they would be compelled to intensify the stir, asserted the agitating bank employees.
