Shahzad, one of the artists of Furkan Fireworks who was busying in making 60-feet effigy of Ravan at Chukkuwala based private school, said that his family has been making the effigies of Ravan, Kumbhakarna and Meghnatha for the past many decades in various parts of the country.

“This is our family work. My grandfather and father always took pride in working during Hindu festivals," he added.Shahzad further said, "After completing Class VIII, I started helping out my parents in this art. As my forefathers used to make these effigies I too become interested. My best moment is when thousands of people gather at the venue and acknowledge my work.

This is a noble work as it involves religious sentiments."Shahzad said, "We also take part in decorations in different Hindu festivals -- including Deewali, Dussehra, Kanwar Mela, religious procession, Hindu marriage receptions and others." He further said, "We are four brothers and everyone is into this business. As of now, my father Hasan Ali is making effigies of Ravan, Kumbhkarna and Meghnath in Kernal, Haryana. Bamboo sticks, lamination paper and crackers are required to complete the structure. We either use lamination paper or colours for the face. It depends on the demand of the organiser."
