A theft was reported in the court campus, Dehradun on Thursday night. In his written complaint, Advocate Gagan Aggarwal stated that the lock of his chamber was broken by unidentified persons on Thursday night. Taking cognisance of this, a case under section 380 of IPC was registered against unidentified persons in the police post, said in-charge Narendra Thakur. Sources said that thief had stolen computer UPS from the advocate chamber.
Recently, The Pioneer has exclusively reported the advocates’ concerns over their security in the court campus in the wake of a history-sheeter of Muzaffarnagar district, Vicky Tyagi being shot dead during a hearing in the court of the additional district and sessions judge in Muzaffarnagar. The advocates suggested that police should be deployed in the campus to strengthen the security here.
