The movie-The Accidental Prime Minister exposes nepotism and other anomalies under the Congress Government which is why leaders of that party had been opposing the release of this movie. The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Ajay Bhatt said this after watching the movie along with a group of party leaders here on Monday.

Along with the BJP State president, Minister of State Dhan Singh Rawat, leaders and office bearers of the party went to a local cinema hall to view The Accidental Prime Minister.

Talking to the media persons after watching the movie, Bhatt said that the movie is based on facts. He said, “The Congress is objecting to this movie because it is uneasy with various aspects of the Gandhi family being exposed in the public. The movie is based on a biographical book written by the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s media advisor Sanjaya Baru published in 2014.

This movie shows how one family dominates the Congress party and how it makes others dance to its tunes or humiliates those who don’t obey. The incident of allocation of space for former Prime Minister Narsimha Rao’s samadhi in Delhi after his demise has also been shown in this movie. It also exposes how the Congress and Gandhi family play the game of putting the blame on others to conceal their own scams and when such cases escalate.”

The BJP State president further opined that the Congress leaders lack the courage to face facts which is why they are hassled by the movie. He also appreciated the director, producer of the movie and lead actor Anupam Kher for his acting.

Those who watched the movie along with Bhatt included Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’, party general secretary Naresh Bansal, the party’s state media in charge Devendra Bhasin, state office secretary Pushkar Singh Kala and other office bearers of the party.
