THDC India limited (THDCIl) successfully organised 20th Inter Central Power Sector Undertakings (ICPSU) Bridge Tournament under the aegis of Power Sports Control Board (PSCB) in Rishikesh. DV Singh, Director (Technical) gave away the prizes to the winners of the tournament in a prize distribution ceremony on Thursday.
In team event Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) with 101 points won the tournament while POWERGRID with 83 points and host THDCIl with 71 points secured IInd & IIIrd position respectively. The matches were played in 05 exciting rounds and these were based on “Swiss Round System”. In pair event NHPC stood first, THDCIl Second and DVC was third.
It is to mention that 20th Inter Power Sector Undertakings (ICPSU) Bridge Tournament conducted at THDCIl, Rishikesh wherein 06 teams viz. Ministry of Power, NHPC, DVC, POWERGRID, NEEPCO and host THDCIl participated. The ceremony concluded with National Anthem choired by the students of THDC High School.
Vijay Goel, GM (P&A/CC), Hl Bharaj, GM (Services) Sh. UC Kannuajia, GM (Electrical) & J Behera, GM (Finance) along with other senior executives and employees attended the prize distribution ceremony.
THDCIl is one of the premier hydro power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1400 MW with commissioning of Tehri & Koteshwar Dam to its credit and is bestowed with 'Mini Ratna-Category-I & Schedule 'A' Status.
