THDC India limited (THDCIl) has been conferred ‘Best HR Strategy in line with Business’ award. SK Biswas, Director(Personnel), THDCIl received the award in a glittering ceremony organised by World HRD Congress on the occasion of 22nd Global HR Excellence Awards in Hotel Taj land’s End, Mumbai. It is a matter of pride for THDCIl as this award recognises efforts made by the Corporation in formulating and implementing effective HR Strategy and initiatives taken in the area of skill building and development.
It is noteworthy that THDCIl is one of the premier hydro power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1,400 MW with commissioning of Tehri & Koteshwar Dam to its credit and is bestowed with ‘Mini Ratna-Category-I & Schedule A’ Status. THDCIl has also plans to increase its installed capacity to 2400 MW by the end of XIIth Plan.
