TET qualified youths unhappy

The State Government may be benevolent enough to give the gift of job to the Shiksha Mitras but this gesture is annoying the TET qualified unemployed youths.

The educationalists too are not happy with the idea of giving jobs to non qualified candidates when large numbers of qualified candidates are available. There are more than thirty thousand Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and TET qualified youths in the state and they are very annoyed at the government’s decision. The State Secretary of B.Ed./ TET qualified unemployed Federation Amit Kashyap  told The Pioneer that their federation is not against giving jobs to Shiksha Mitras but they oppose the decision because it comes at the cost of quality of education.

He said that the Shiksha Mitras created pressure on the state government and unfortunately the government relented, “what the government will do if the Bhojan Matas who cook food in the schools under mid day meal scheme also demand to be adjusted as teachers,” questioned Kashyap.  His sentiments were shared by educationist and retired Principal J S Bhandari; he said that quality should not be compromised while selecting teachers as they are building blocks of the nation.
