Tension erupted at a temple located at GMS Road when local residents protested, accusing its priest of allegedly occupying the temple’s room on Monday.
Teams led by Circle officer Manoj Kumar Katyal reached to the spot after being informed about the incident, have somehow managed to handle the situation.
Katyal said that local residents informed the police that Balram, a priest was given a room in the temple campus by the local residents in the past. But now he is not vacating the temple’s room and have illegally occupying the room.
However, no complaints have been received from any parties, he added.
