Tension continues to prevail at Doon Women Hospital

Tension continues to prevail among the staff members of the Doon Women Hospital here as a Ward Aaya complained threatening by some unidentified persons on Wednesday. This class IV employee, who was one among those manhandled on intervening night of Monday / Tuesday by infuriated family members of a patient alleged that she was threatened by someone claiming to be a family member of Shayra on Wednesday night too. 

The incident evoked strong response from the nurses and other staff members and they undertook work boycott for one hour on Wednesday morning. 

The officiating CMS of Doon Women hospital Dr Tripti Bahuguna said that the staff members resumed their duties when they were told that the one person accused of beating and manhandling staff members a day earlier was arrested. 

A fresh compliant of the class IV employee was also registered with the police. The Director General of Health services Dr R P Bhatt too visited the hospital and assured the staff to work fearlessly.It is worth mentioning here that the hospital is rocked with a series of commotion and skirmishes in last four to five days with family members of patients turning violent and accusing the staff members and doctors of negligence.
