Under rule 377, MP Tehri Mala Rajyalakshmi highlighted about the natural disaster that created havoc in Chamoli, Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag district under Tehri lok Sabha constituency in the lok Sabha during session.
According to her, thousands of locals and pilgrims died in the natural disaster besides, houses, business establishments, inns, guest houses were baldy damaged in the disaster.
She claimed that more than 250 villages having population of 300-400 are badly affected in the disaster. Rajyalakshmi said that 50,000 villagers are struggling for their livelihood in the region. She demanded from the Union Government to introduce effective steps for rehabilitating the displaced villagers and
cancel their loan.
