A teenager escaped from a nursing home owner who had allegedly held three women captive after first promising to employ them on monthly salaries.  The young lady who contacted the police on Thursday alleged that the nursing home owner did not pay them and didn’t even allow the three women to talk with anyone outside the area of work.

The police have started investigating the case, based on the complaint lodged by the teenager. According to sources, an 18 year old female from Assam was employed at a nursing home located in the Dalanwala area of Dehradun through a placement agency.

The nursing home owner had purportedly promised to pay her a monthly salary of Rs6,000.

She further complained that two other young women have also been employed at the nursing home and after work they are locked in a room and not allowed to contact with persons outside the room.  They are not even allowed to talk with their family members on the phone.

On Thursday, one of the females was on the roof of the nursing home building from where she managed to jump to the roof of a neighbouring building and from there she climbed down.

The teenager reached the Dwarka Chowk on EC Road where a youth reportedly saw her in a tense condition.

On enquiring from her,  the young lady narrated her tale of woes to the youth.  The two then reached the Araghar police post where they narrated the situation to the police. The police have started investigations into the case.
