Election fever has gripped the government school teachers with declaration of the election schedule of Rajkeeya Shikshak Sangh (RSS), the association of the government school lecturers and lecturer Teachers (lT).
The election for the state working committee of the association is scheduled on November 8. The election date was announced by director education R K Kunwar on Tuesday.
It is worth mentioning here that the term of the state unit of the association had ended in the month of August. The election of the association of government school lecturers would be held after end of a one day state convention of teachers. More than half a dozen teachers have thrown their hats for the coveted position of the President of the association.
likely 2,500 delegates chosen from teachers of inter colleges and high schools of the state would participate in the election. The contenders for the posts of President and General Secretary are using the occasion of Diwali for their personal campaign. Such prospective candidates are also approaching teachers in various social media platforms.
