Teachers absent from training programmes face DG's ire

Published on:

In order to rein in the teachers who are absconding from the departmental training programmes the Director General of School education has asked the senior officers of department to ensure that if any teacher remains absent from any training programme then they should attend next training at their own cost. In his order the DG, D Senthil Pandian has asked all Principals of all District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET) to identify the training requirements of the teachers of their districts. He has ordered them to send a detailed list to the directorate by June 1. The list would contain the names of the teachers and the training which is needed to be imparted to them. In addition to this all DIET Principals would monitor the activities of BRC and CRCs of their district.
