During a talk session held here on Friday, the speakers connected with the worlds of cinema, journalism and literature recalled the contributions of many prominent personalities who had set landmark in their respective fields.
Anubha Daspal, one of the speakers at the session, said that it is always rewarding to peep into history and know about the legends of the yesteryears. “It is amazing to know how things were back then.”
Asked about how important it is for the children to take interest in history, she said, “I believe that children indulge in whatever we give them. Rather than giving electronic devices, we should tell them old stories and also about history and heritage.”
Another speaker of the session Manju Kala said she had been greatly enriched by knowing about the history of the cinema in India. “This is the first such session I attended. I learnt a lot about the world of cinema,” she said.
