In order to make two campaigns- Pulse Polio campaign scheduled to begin from the first week of July and Measles and Rubella Vaccination campaign slated to begin from the second week of September- successful, district magistrate SA Murugeshan met the district officers at the Vikasbhawan on Wednesday. The department officials were directed to take steps to administer the pulse polio drops to all the children under age of five years in the district, except Kalsi and Chakrata, on July 2.
The department officials were also directed to put up banners urging all to get their children administered polio drops in different parts of the district. The health workers would take part in the door-to-door campaign to administer polio drops to each child from July 3 to July 8.
DM said that Measles and Rubella Vaccination campaign is meant for all the children in the age group of nine month to 15 years. Others present at the meeting were the chief medical officer Dr Tara Chandra Pant, SP City PK Rai, SDM Pratyush Singh, district development officer Pradeep Pandey and chief education officer SB Joshi.
