DIG, Kumaon range, GS Martolia, has emphasised on the need to take concrete steps to check crime cases while directing the police officials of the region to solve the grievances of the people on priority basis.
In course of a meeting with the police officials of the region here on Tuesday, the newly appointed DIG Kumaon range asked them to prepare a concrete work plan to prevent crime cases and to strictly deal with the anti-social elements. More so, he also called for strengthening community policing and making the local people aware of how to maintain peace and tranquility in the society. Stressing the need to maintain law and order, he asked the police officials to keep vigil on the anti-social elements by strengthening the intelligence network. At the same time, he also asked the police officials to maintain coordination among different security agencies so that the anti-social activities could be curbed and proper vigil could be maintained. Martolia asked police officials to strategise their action plan by correcting their past mistakes so that all the issues could be handled in an effective manner.
