Swami writes invitation for congregation with blood

In what may appear to be a melodramatic act to some, Swami Achyutanand Teerth of Bhuma Niketan has written invitation letters for a two-day religious congregation to be held  in his ashram from Tuesday using his blood as ink. He  wrote to religious leaders of different religious faith with more than a thousand letters slated to be written by his followers using their blood as ink asking for united efforts against the atrocities being meted out to Hindus like the terrorist attacks in Pathankot.

On Monday, he got the letters written in front of workers of various organisations. Addressing them, he said, “The Sanatan Dharma is being threatened. In such a scenario, it is our duty to safeguard our religion at any cost. The Dharm Sansad (religious congress ) is being organised in Haridwar to address this issue.”

He criticised the prime minster Narendra Modi’s recent Pakistan visit opining that such gestures had emboldened terrorists to attack an air force base.
