Swami Narshinganand Saraswati, head of Ghaziabad-based Jagdamba Mahakaali Trust, observed a day-long fast at Har ki Paudi along with social activist Adhir Kaushik and several others on Tuesday, demanding the Centre to frame and enforce strict laws to control the country’s burgeoning population. To press their demand, they wrote a letter, using blood as ink, addressed to the Prime Minister and sent it on Tuesday to PM through the office of the ADM Admin Haridwar. They also said the Centre must come down heavily on the terrorists while addressing the unemployment problem, periling family, society and the nation.
In an exclusive talk with The Pioneer, Narshinganand Saraswati said that the time has come to have the spiraling population of the country curbed tough and strong laws. This is an imperative to ensure that the country progresses apace in the direction of being a developed nation.
The galloping population is worsening the unemployment problem, bedeviling the country. The unemployed youths are getting angry with the system and their anger is making them fall prey to the terrorist organisations, the seer said, adding that unless these problems are addressed in earnest nothing less than a civil war like situation is awaiting the country.
