For gathering support for its demand for increasing the minimum wages, the activists of Shramik Vikas Sangathan (SVS), undertook a signature campaign in Selaqui industrial area here on Sunday. The SVS is the trade union wing of Aam Aadami Party (AAP).
The meeting was addressed by the central committee member of SVS, Shyam Babu Pandey. He said that the SVS is undertaking a country wide campaign so that pressure is exerted on the government for increase in minimum wage. Pandey also reviewed the work of the SVS in the state. In the meeting Puja Bhalla Arora was assigned the task of increasing the membership of SVS in state while Suresh Tiwari was entrusted this task in Dehradun district. large number of workers employed in the industrial units of Selaqui industrial area participated in the programme.
