The Dehradun district magistrate BVRC Purushottam has directed administrative and education officers to conduct surprise inspections of mid-day meal scheme in schools. They were directed to taste food provided to the students under the scheme and ensure that quality food is being served. SDM and Tehsildars have been directed to conduct checks in the schools of their jurisdiction and report to him. DSO was directed to check quality of rice provided in schools.
