The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal, Pauri district unit’s orgaisational election concluded in course of the unit’s conference on Thursday. It was attended  by  Kendrai (central) observer Rakesh Sati and Garhwal region party in-charge and State general secretary Pankaj Viyas. Suresh Chandra Juyal was elected as president, Rakesh Dobhal as general secretary, Vinay Panwar as treasurer and Bhagwan Singh as vice-president.

All of them were elected unopposed. The UKD Pauri district conference was presided over  by the party spokesman and Pauri district in-charge Atul Chand Ramola. The party members said the unit is gaining credence with the people with time. They reiterated their loyalty to UKD national president Kashi Singh Aairy and convener Trivendra Singh Aairy.

They further affirmed the party would do well in the 2017 Assembly elections in the State. Raising the issue of the deprived Statehood activists, the party leaders said the successive State Governments have done nothing for them. The people are losing confidence in the national parties like Congress and BJP on the emotive issue.

The sacrifice of activists seems to have gone down the drain with such parties trampling down upon the developmental and cultural aspirations of the common people of the State. Now, they are looking forward to the regional party like UKD to champion the cause of the State, they said.

They further said that money fixes contractual appointments. They slammed the Congress for giving representation of the State to such persons who had been in parties that used every means to thwart the creation of Uttarakhand.
