Blaming the Central Government for disappointing the people of Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Harish Rawat’s spokesman Surendra Kumar questioned the State’s five BJP members of lok Sabha as to why Uttarakhand was being “ignored” repeatedly.
In a statement issued the CM’s spokesman said, “The BJP leaders who had erected large hoardings regarding the smart city project should now apologise to the people of Uttarakhand. Even the five BJP MPs could not advocate in favour of the State in the smart city proposal,” he said.
Kumar accused the Centre of being biased against Uttarakhand, he said that the BJP-led Central Government had neither released funds for Ardh Kumbh Mela on time nor had it released funds in time for disaster related tasks.
Accusing the BJP of orchestrating political uncertainty at the time of the start of Char Dham Yatra, Kumar averred that the latest rejection substantiates allegations leveled against the Central Government for ignoring the State as part of a conspiracy.
