In a bid to apprise the problem of sugarcane farmers, who have been running from pillar to post for getting their payment from sugar mills against their produce, a delegation led by State BJP organising general secretary, Naresh Bansal along with ex-MlA Suresh Chandra Jain met State sugarcane minister Surendra Singh Negi on Saturday.
They demanded to make availability of fertiliser, water, equipments and sugarcane arrears to the farmers. later, Minister Negi assured that their payment will be made by next week.later the delegation also apprised the minister about the people’s problem due to less number of doctors in Roorkee government hospital. Thereafter the minister also assured that he would look into this and will appoint a few more doctors in the hospital.
