In protest against alleged dictatorial attitude of management of Guru Ram Rai Inter College, Khurbura, the students and some teachers of this school organised a protest meeting outside the office of Chief Education Office (CEO) of Dehradun at Mayur Vihar on Monday.
The protesters alleged that the management has unceremoniously expelled the students of school and terminated the services of the teachers so that a high end private school could start in the school. As a mark of protest the teachers conducted classes at the site of agitation.
The students demanded that the management of the school should be ousted for its failure. The protesters said that 40 students of classes VI to IX were expelled from the school.
The teachers present in the agitation said that the management had agreed to run the school after a meeting with Chief Education Officers, teachers and non teaching employees on December 31 but the management is now backtracking on the agreement.
