A group of students, all members of Jaunsar Bhabar Chhatra Sangh, on Monday staged demonstration outside Uttarakhand police headquarter, demanding arrest of the accused in murder of the girl, whose body was recovered on March 2 at Dhoolkot area in the district.
After the incident, father of the girl registered a case at Sahaspur police station, alleging that a youth of Bhatad Chakrata was involved in the murder. He also suspected role of one of his daughters in the incident. But when no action was taken against the accused, he along with the student union members reached the DGP office where students staged a demo.
later some members of the union along with father of the girl called on the DGP, demanding that action should be ensured and accused should be arrested.The members claimed that the DGP assured them that he would look into the matter and action would be ensured into it.
