Students appearing for Boards to be hit most

The students are expected to bear the maximum brunt of the BJP’s Assembly march and strike call given by the Jewellers’ Association on Monday.

The Board examinations of Uttarakhand Vidhyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) are scheduled on the day and to make the matters worse for these candidates, the district administration has virtually sealed the area around the State Vidhan Sabha and diverted the traffic which would mean that students would take more time to reach their respective examination centres.

The State BJP has planned a massive March to the State Assembly on Monday; the State unit of the party has put its entire strength to ensure that the March is a success.

Hordes of party-men are expected to participate in the march. Not leaving anything on chance, the administration has also made a massive Bandobast on the day. To make matters worse for the denizens of the State capital, the Jewelers’ association too has planned to enforce a band in the city.

The district administration has asked the residents of the area around the State Assembly to refrain from venturing out on the day. Sadly enough, no one appears to have given a thought for the candidates of the Board examination.

On Monday students of Class XII of CBSE would appear for their Physics examination apart from them examinations of Class X and XII of state board are also scheduled on the day. Given the situation these candidates are sure to face harrowing time for reaching their examination centres.

“ I am confused as to  which route I should take to drop my daughter to her examination centre as I am told that the main road linking Defence colony to the Haridwar road would be blocked for normal traffic. It is ridiculous, as instead of focusing on the examination my daughter is worried about reaching the venue of the examination,’’ said Suman Naithani, a Defence Colony resident.

The Principal of KV ONGC, Dhanraj Singh Negi said that the parents should ensure that their wards leave their homes much early so that they reach the examination centre on time. The examination is scheduled to start at 10 am.
