In DBS (PG) College, dozens of students led by leaders of different groups forcibly closed the college gate. Some of the students climbed the college roof and shouted slogans against the college administration. The protesters warned that they will continue protesting till their demands are met.
DBS (PG) College Principal OP Kulshrestha said students should talk to the State Government and HNB Garhwal University officers regarding redressal of their grievances.

"As per the direction issued by the state government and university administration, we cannot enroll more numbers than allocated seats. The college administration has limited power regarding increase in seats for different bachelor degree courses due to limited infrastructure," he said.
